Wellness Habits We're Loving Lately That Keep Us Grounded and Feeling Our Best

With 2020 throwing so many surprises our way, our days look and feel a lot different than they ever have before. Since we are creatures of habit, now more than ever it’s important to be intentional with with our time by adding healthy rituals to our daily or weekly routines to set our mood and tone right.

Our team rounded up a list of wellness habits that have been keeping us happily grounded lately. Hopefully some of these tips will inspire you to add some well deserved self care to your day or week!

Every morning and evening, I take my dog Korra for a long walk around our neighborhood. Getting 45 minutes to an hour of outdoor movement every day keeps my body and mind feeling relaxed. I used to listen to podcasts or music on my walks, but ever since the beginning of quarantine, I’ve made sure to keep my walks totally technology-free, and it’s been amazing! In the evenings my husband joins us, and our walks have become a way to connect with each other away from the distractions of our home.

Aside from that, I make sure to take a daily prenatal multivitamin to make sure I’m filling in the gaps on any essential nutrition I may be missing…and as much as people will say this isn’t a wellness routine, I love to unwind at the end of the day with a glass of wine. My favorite lately has been this Malbec.

Moving my body daily is an absolute must for at least 20 minutes up to an hour. Whether it’s taking my dog for a walk, doing a Tone It Up work-out on their app, taking a barre class or joining this dance off sweat session, it’s a powerful way for me to unwind and add in balance to my day. And, may I just add, bringing dancing into the mix is incredibly freeing and a fun way to start or end the day! It’s great to do with your significant other, friends and family too.

Caring for my skin is another ritual that keeps me feeling my best. I could not go with out my favorite Vitamin C serum which is essential for environmental protection and diminishes the appearance of fine lines and discoloration. And this magical eye-cream that I use every night. It’s dreamy!
