Why We Should Continue to Nurture Our Friendships, Now More Than Ever

My friendships know no distance!

Some live close by, while others live hours and states away. With a global pandemic essentially putting a damper on travel, it’s been tough to connect over an impromptu weekend trip or happy hour. This year has been quite a “mood” to say the least.

Who else can relate?

All of the social distancing has me thinking about my tribe and what they might need from me right now.

Yasmine Cheyenne recently posted on her Instagram (@yasminecheyenne) that your “people” aka — the people that you are closely connected with, come with many attributes. Cheyenne said,

they…

—will support you outgrowing your fears

—will support you when you say no

—won’t ask you to do things that limit your light

—will root for you to win + enjoy watching you grow

—won’t be perfect, but will hold space for you to be you

Yasmine’s quotes really resonated, since I think it’s the ultimate way to authentically continue to show love and support within my friendships and relationships during this season and always.

How are you showing up?
