Participating Local Businesses Team Up To Raise Money to Support Black-Owned Restaurants

Have weekend plans? Now you do! On August 29th, participating cities and towns across the South will be holding various fundraising efforts - from virtual bake sales to donating a percentage of daily or weekend sales. Southern Restaurants for Racial Justice Coalition in partnership with The Lee Initiative, have come together to create a pandemic emergency relief fund to support Black-owned restaurants in the South.

If you happen to be in Jacksonville this weekend, please consider grabbing a bite and refreshing beverage at the participating local businesses that are donating a portion of their sales to support Black-owned restaurants in the southern restaurant community.

Check out the Nineteen NE Florida eateries and watering holes that are all joining forces:

Feel free to get in touch with the team of restaurants, chefs + makers behind this powerful movement at SRRJ and The Lee Initiative to learn more on how to get involved.
