Unique, woman-owned, feel-good brands to check out

In the midst of February and the season of love, we’re continuing to find new ways to show love to the ones in our lives and cultivate our own self care. With that in mind, we’ve rounded up a few woman-owned, feel-good brands for you to check out. If you’re in need of some self-pampering or wanting to treat someone special in your life, these are sure to not disappoint!

HAPPY HABITAT

Looking for environmentally friendly throws or blankets? Happy Habitat is the place for you! These throw blankets are made in the USA and offer beautiful and playful patterns to boot. Karrie Dean—the former ad executive-turned-designer—has sourced talented artisans to utilize fibers to form textiles that are gorgeous pieces of art. The company makes a conscious effort to take necessary steps towards being sustainable by currently incorporating these processes: minimal paper use, green packaging, carbon neutral shipping, and the use of recycled cotton, organic cotton and local alpaca. With so many fun prints to choose from, it’s hard to pick just one!

ESTELLE COLORED GLASS

Personally, we come from generations of women in our families that loved to entertain…so we LOVE to entertain! If you are a collector of glassware, you must check out this luxury brand of hand-blown colored glass cake stands, decanters and stemware in offerings of gorgeous jewel tones and soft pastels. Well known as “jewels for your table”, these pieces are made by glass artisans in Poland. Based in Charleston, SC, the brand was inspired by founder Stephanie Summerson Hall’s antique treasure hunts with her grandmother Estelle, fondly called “Big Mama”, who loved antiquing to source some of the best glass finds to add to her colored glass collection. The blush pink tone glassware is on our wish list!

THE SHOP FORWARD

Who doesn’t like to “shop + pay it forward”? Meri Barnes founded the brand in 2014 after working for a top designer in NYC and then deciding to switch directions by combining her love of fashion and philanthropy. The company has raised over $4.6 million since its inception, supporting various philanthropic causes that are working to help others around the world. They are a social-impact brand and business, created for consumers who wish to make an impact with their purchase. Always launching new products and campaigns, their latest one—the Love Collection—supports TSF COVID-19 Fund, helping those affected by Coronavirus. With our love for the military and Hallmark movies, our family purchased the “Hallmark Movie Watcher Sweatshirt” where a donation was made to Task Force Dagger Foundation to support Special Operations families in need around holidays.

BYCHARI

We love a piece of jewelry that tells a story that is effortless, minimal and luxurious. As a way for women to share and celebrate their stories, Chari Cuthbert, founded BYCHARI in 2012. Based in Los Angeles, CA, each piece is handmade sustainably. From necklaces to anklets, you are bound to find something beautiful to wear with confidence! The Original Spaced Letter Necklace is such a thoughtful gift for yourself, a friend or a loved one.
